The LAPF Pensions Fund is a social security institution affiliated to the President's Office, Regional Administration and local Government (RAlG). LAPF has its headquarter in Dodoma with zone and liaison offices in Dar es Salaam, Arusha, Iringa Mwanza, MtWara, Rukwa, Kahama, Tanga and Kigoma. LAPF activities have been steadily increasing in the recent past and in response to that, the Fund is seeking to recruit dynamic, committed, honest, qualified individuals who are highly motivated, entrepreneurial - minded and result driven professionals with proven good track record.
The available positions together with their specific requirements are as follows:

Database Administrator II (1 POST):

Job Purpose
Reports to Senior Data base administrator. The Data Base Administrator will be responsible for installation of hardware and software systems in the Fund. Will help to develop, implement and review ICT policies. He will supervise Junior Database administration staff.
Qualification, Skills and Experience
(i) Holder of a Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology, or equivalent qualifications.
(ii) Knowledge in system design, computer programming using languages like SQL, visual basic, C++ etc.
(iii) Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA) or Cisco, or Certified Network Administrator (CNA) qualification will be an added advantage.
Duties and responsibilities
Database Administrator II shall do the following
(i) Develop application for the Fund and timely provide report to superiors.
(ii) Evaluate computer operating system software and timely provide report to superiors.
(iii) Establish and maintain standard techniques and procedures for Information System maintenance and timely provide report to superior.
(iv) Provide technical guidance and training to subordinates and other LAPF staff at their designed work units.
(v) Supervise system maintenance work and timely provide report to superiors.
(vi) . Perform any duties as may be assigned from time to time by the superiors.
