Position: EIMC Study Coordinator 1-position based in Dar es Salaam

Position Overview:
The EIMC Study Coordinator will be responsible for the coordination of all activities related to an EIMC study in Tanzania. The EIMC Study Coordinator will liaise closely with the PI, co-investigators and the study management and technical team to develop appropriate study protocols and ensure their approval by relevant agencies before study implementation. They will lead overall study implementation of the study per study protocol. He/she will lead logistics and facilitation pieces to ensure appropriate study training of research assistants and other study staff.

They will oversee data collection, quality, management and storage and to make sure that the study is conducted with adherence to the study protocol. He /she will also be responsible for producing periodic reports on the study progress and summary of the results. He/she will be coordinate the development of the final study report and related writing workshops to develop abstracts/manuscripts to disseminate study results. The Study Coordinator will be based in Dar es Salaam with extensive travel to Iringa.

Responsibilities:
• Facilitate creation of final versions of IRB submissions and study related tools and lead submission and follow up with IRB agencies for approvals
• Develop/ adapt standard operating procedures for study activities
• Develop work plan for study implementation
• With finance staff, ensure necessary payments while conducting field work
• Assist in hiring and training of study staff
• Assist in procurement of relevant study materials
• Set up regional and district meetings to introduce studies in collaboration with study management and technical teams.
• Collaborate with study management and technical team to put into place all implementation pieces for study roll out
• Collaborate with Senior Health Informatics Advisor to set up data management systems for the studies
• Oversee data collection in field; conduct quality data checks and oversee overall management and storage of data to ensure adherence to protocol in study sites
• Support data verification and cleaning
• Liaise regularly with Pis and co-investigators with updates on the study progress
• Submit summary reports of the progress and initial findings by the reporting dates
• Meet regularly to feedback initial findings and discussion on data management process
• Coordinate the development of the final study report and related writing workshops to develop abstracts/manuscripts to disseminate study results.
• Assume other research related duties, as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications:
Required
Completion of University-level degree, [MA preferred]
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Detail oriented and excellent communication skills.
Excellent writing schools
Reading, written, and verbal fluency in English and Kiswahili

Preferred
Experience with EIMC, work with PEPFAR-funded programs
Previous experience working for an international NGO
Familiarity with health facility setting

Position: VMMC and EIMC Technical Advisor-Iringa/Njombe (1 position based in Iringa)

Job Overview
The VMMC and EIMC Technical Advisor will provide regional technical oversight for the strategic transition of VMMC and EIMC services to the MOH with a focus on integrating COI as part of a sustainable strategy. Working closely with the Sr. Technical Advisor and regional technical advisors, the VMMC and EIMC Technical Advisor will have responsibility for providing technical guidance during the transition process in Iringa and Njombe regions. The VMMC and EIMC Technical Advisor will work closely with the Sr. Technical Advisor, Regional Program Manager and the EIMC advisor to cultivate strong relationships between AIDS Free, the regional AIDS Control Program, Reproductive Child Health Services and other agencies to support the transition. In collaboration with the Sr. Technical Advisor, regional manager and EIMC advisor, the VMMC and EIMC technical advisor will contribute to the sustainability framework and work with the regional administration and local government (RALG)• to build VMMC and EIMC capacity at the regional, district, facility and community levels while maintaining quality standards and achieving set targets. As needed, the VMMC and EIMC technical advisor will support the scale up of VMMC in relevant regions ensuring technical quality and efficiency during scale up to achieve targets.

Roles and responsibilities:
Develop and share the vision; and ensure the quality and execution of
AIDS Free technical leadership in VMMC
Collaborate with key stakeholders to scale up VMMC and EIMC services to specific regions, district and at the facility level.
Build capacity of regional, district and facility staff to ensure high quality and efficient VMMC and EIMC services as they transition to the MOHSW
Support other technical staff in Dar es Salaam and the regions to high quality and efficient VMMC and EIMC program implementation with an eye towards sustainability
Collaborate with the Technical Advisor and other technical advisors to implement continuous quality improvement activities in collaboration with other implementing partners and champion its inclusion in implementing sustainability strategies.
Work collaboratively with AIDS Free VMMC and EIMC staff in Dar and in the field to ensure that resources for effective and timely program implementation are available.
Work collaboratively with M&E to ensure that appropriate data are collected and that data are being used and shared for decision-making.
Identify and provide technical assistance needed for VMMC and EIMC within program and among partners and other subcontractors.
Develop and maintain excellent collaborative relationships with key partners including the NACP, national, regional and district MOH staff, TACAIDS, WHO, and other partners implementing VMMC activities.
Represent sustainable VMMC/EIMC at key technical meetings both in Tanzania and externally. .
Contribute to quarterly and annual reports.
Provide technical assistance to other Jhpiego VMMC programs, as requested.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Required Skills and Qualifications:
Advanced degree in medicine, nursing or some other health-related field. MBA or other management degree desirable. , 7+ years of experience providing technical leadership and management for health programs.
Knowledge of international and USG donor agencies and private sector foundations.
Demonstrated skills in VMMC and EIMC programming.
Experience in building capacity and sustain ability programming a bonus.
Experience in the development of strategic and tactical plans in cooperation with others who represent a wide range of interests and needs.
Ability to interact with established networks of senior level international health professionals, donors, universities and other partners.
Field oriented and comfortable with a team approach to programming.
Able to manage several major activities simultaneously.
Strong change management, results oriented and decision making . skills.
Excellent presentation skills and verbal and written communications skills.
Excellent skills in facilitation, team building and coordination

Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.

Position: Graphic Designer- 1 position based in Dar es Salaam

Position Overview:
Reporting to Jhpiego Tanzania Communication and Stakeholder Engagement Manager, the Graphic Designer will be responsible for the design of visual materials that enhance Jhpiego and Jhpiego-Ied programs in Tanzania and globally. As a member of the Tanzania Communication Team and Global Engagement & Communications Department (GECO), the Graphic Designer will collaborate with Jhpiego Tanzania communication team, GECO, as well as other Jhpiego departments, to produce, re-purpose, and enhance online and print materials, including email campaigns, video, technical posters, training packages, reports, manuals, information sheets, proposals, presentations, illustrations, graphics, and high-priority materials for internal and external stakeholders. The Graphic. Designer will also work to maintain the graphic standards of Jhpiego, including font and color usage and logo guidelines and to coordinate the print production of collateral materials.

Responsibilities
• Under direct supervision, provide illustrative/graphic services and carry out design assignments of a routine to moderately complex nature:
Format print materials (in Swahili, English and other languages) using style sheets and templates
Produce large text documents that include imported graphics, exhibits, tables, pull-out sheets, etc.
Retouch photographic images from verbal or written instructions
Offer suggestions; develop, enhance, and/or modify graphic/artwork requiring some creativity. For more complicated design and/or larger projects, execute implement the design concepts created by more experienced graphic design staff.
Utilize some creativity and independent thought in carrying out work assignments. Assignments and projects tend to be routine, simple, or moderately complex. ,
Utilize a variety of methods such as color,' type, illustration, photography, animation, and various print and layout techniques .
May follow standards established by Jhpiego GECO Creative Services
Manager or as per program-specific branding and marking guidelines.
Manage multiple projects of different types independently, with involvement from the Creative Services Manager as needed
Independently solve problems encountered in the development, review, and production of Jhpiego materials
Work with editorial staff and other design/desktop publishing staff to develop appropriate formats/designs for content
Organize and catalogue graphics files
Develop templates for proposal covers and text, as needed
Work as part of a team with copywriters, designers, stylists, executive

Qualifications:
University graduate in fine arts, graphic design, visual communication, or a related field
5+ years of proven graphic designing experience
Possession of creative flair, versatility, conceptually visual ability and originality
• Design portfolio represent experience in design, editing, and coordination of collateral materials and video
• Some related experience in design, editing and coordination of collateral materials and video
• Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Word Press, and MS
Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
• Knowledge of basic communications principles in brand management and design
• Highly adept and adaptive, with ability to learn and apply new skills quickly, particularly in the area of computer technologies, including use of editing software and scanners
Experience or interest in international development or health field preferred
Highly organized with ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and work within a cross-functional deadline-driven environment
• Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
• Sound judgment and independent decision making ability
• Ability to work collaboratively and effectively as a member of a team
