The story
Comprehensive Community Based Rehabilitation in Tanzania (CCBRT) is a locally registered NGO first established in 1994. It is the largest indigenous provider of disability and rehabilitation services in the country. CCBRT aims to empower people with disabilities and their families, improve their quality of life, and ensure access to medical and rehabilitative treatment. Committed to preventing disabilities wherever possible, CCBRT is also engaged in extensive maternal and newborn healthcare (MNHC) activities and is currently constructing a Maternity and Newborn Hospital which will serve as a referral centre for high risk and emergency deliveries in the region of Dar es Salaam and the Eastern Zone of Tanzania.
For our newly-expanded Imaging Department, serving both CCBRT’s standard and private clinics, we are looking for a passionate Radiographer.
The role
Will include:
Preparing patients for radiology procedures, including orientation on exams and preparations as well as preparing contrast to be given to patients Carrying out radiological examinations (X-Rays), including routine and special exams in a sensitive and ethical mannersCarrying out portable X-Ray examinations and ensuring adequate radiation protectionProcessing, enveloping and submitting films and providing adequate clinical information for further medical interpretationKeeping and updating accurate statistics and registration books (all demographic details)Maintaining and organizing consumables stocksProviding primary health education to patients on radiation protection and ensuring proper use of radiation techniquesMaintaining X-Ray equipmentSupervising sterilization of radiological materials and instruments
The candidate
Will have:
Diploma of 3 years in Radiography from a recognized institutionMinimum of 3 years’ experience as a general RadiographerIn-house/Vendor training in CT/MRI/VTRegistered with Tanganyika Medical Council as a general radiographerEffective communication skills and a proven ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independentlySelf ConfidenceAttention to detailNumeracyConcern for safety, quality and the environmentService excellence (patients)Results focused

The candidate Will have:
Diploma of 3 years in Radiography from a recognized institutionSpecialist Diploma of 1 year in CT/MRI/VT is an added advantageMinimum of 5 years’ experience as a Radiologist with at least 1 year experience as a CT TechnologistIn-house/Vendor training in CT/MRI/VTRegistered with Tanganyika Medical Council either as a specialist radiographer (CT/MRI/VT) or a general radiographerEffective communication skills and proven ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independentlyCoaching skillsSelf ConfidenceAttention to detailNumeracyConcern for safety, quality and the environmentService excellence (patients)Results focused
