Position: Social Worker
Qualifications and Person specifications:
- A bachelor’s degree or Higher Diploma in social Works/Administration, Community Psychology, Community Development or Sociology.
- Understanding of protection issues, case management, psychosocial support and empowerment of PSN within the refugee setting
- Ability to use basic computer packages (Word, Excel, internet)
- 1-2 years of work experience in social work or community development. Working with refugees, a plus
- Ability to communicate in both English, Kiswahili and French. Knowledge of one of Burundian refugee languages, a plus.
- Respectful and courteous.
- Good report writing skills
- Conscientious.
- Able to maintain a high level of ethical standards
