Role overview
The volunteer will work collaboratively with Vocational Education and Training Authority (in Mtwara, Lindi, Morogoro, Dar es Salaam and Pwani) teachers within and selected master craftspeople from 9 district and municipal councils from the 5 regions by providing technical advice, coaching and training on motor vehicle and motor cycle mechanics to the identified marginalized youth and where possible support other workshops in mechanical engineering. The volunteer will also participate in developing/reviewing curriculum, developing adapted vocational training manuals for the marginalized youth and courses for master craftspeople
Skills, qualifications and experience required
University degree in Mechanical Engineering or Diploma in Vocational training or QTS certification with particular experience in Motor vehicle mechanics
Experience of three or more years in teaching methodology from vocational training facility or related institution is highly recommended for this position
Have at least two years experience in the practical vocational training
