TRAINER – PROCESS PLANT
Acacia Mining seeks to employ a Trainer – Process Plant based at
Buzwagi Mine. This role reports to the First Line Leader – Process Plant
Operations and the role holder will be accountable to deliver quality
training and assessment in the workplace in order to enhance performance
by developing individual skills and capabilities in accordance with
Acacia Buzwagi Standards and Procedures.
This is a permanent role, with the work roster being fourteen (14) days on and seven (7) days off.
CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Ensure safe work practices by attending compulsory safety courses
and meetings, use of required PPE, incident/accident reporting and
ensuring total adherence to all Safety, Occupational Health and
Environmental Policies, as well as other policies, procedures and
guidelines.
• Identification of training Gaps by:
Conducting training needs analysis (TNA)
Conducting planned and unplanned task observations (PTO)
Conducting theory and practical assessments
Updating the Training Database/ Records
• Knowledge and skills transfer:
Plan assessment activities and processes
Use training packages and accredited courses to meet client needs
Plan, organize and facilitate learning in the workplace
Conduct training and assessment
Plan, organize and deliver group-based learning
• Design, develop and review training materials
Design and develop training packages and assessment tools
Participate in assessment tools validation
Assist with developing site training standard operating procedures
• Providing technical support to the Process Plant Operations team
• Ensure that any regulatory compliances is maintained
• Completion of daily, weekly and monthly reports according to site schedule
ROLE REQUIREMENTS

ROLE REQUIREMENTS
Qualification Requirements:
• Form VI Secondary Education
• FTC / Trade Test Grade 1 in Mineral Processing or equivalent
• Training & Assessment Certification
Experience Requirements:
• FTC / Trade Test Grade 1 in Mineral Processing or equivalent
• Training & Assessment Certification
Experience Requirements:
• Must have at least 3 – 5 years Process Plant Operation experience, and 1 – 2 years training experience in mineral processing.
• Experience in training records and database control
• Experience in designing and developing training and assessment material
• Experience in presentation facilitation process

Skills / Knowledge Requirements:
• Crusher (Gyratory/ Jaw), mills/grinding, Leaching(CIL/ CIP), Elution (Zadra/ AARL), Floatation, and Thickeners operation
• Reagents mixing and utilization
• Detoxification, Pumps and Valves, Process Control room, Blower and Compressor, Mobile Equipment and TSF operation and management
• Gantry/ Overhead crane and basic rigging
• Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook
• Ability to troubleshoot operational problems
• Safety awareness and accident investigation
• Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written in English and Swahili
• Effective facilitation and interpersonal skills
• Mentoring, coaching and tutoring techniques
