Grant Writer at AfricAid Tanzania, Application Deadline 06 Jul 2016

AfricAid (Tanzania) is a registered NGO which supports the education of young Tanzanian women so that those young women have an opportunity to reach their full potential and transform their communities. We were established in 2010 and are located in Arusha. Our key educational initiative is the Kisa Project, a comprehensive leadership and life-skills training and mentoring program for A Level girls.
We are currently looking for a grant-writer with significant experience and a proven track record in winning grant funding in the not-for-profit sector. A very high level of proficiency in the English language, and the ability to effectively tailor applications to meet individual grant-maker requirements, are essential.

Using existing research carried out by AfricAid as a starting point, the key deliverables of this consultancy will be the submission of five (5) full proposals per month to ‘best fit, high potential’ grant-makers for funding for the Kisa Project. Proposals will be developed and submitted in close consultation with the AfricAid (Tanzania) Country Director.
The initial term of the consultancy is 6 months and the preferred consultant will be fully briefed before the commencement of the consultancy.
